Patna, Feb. 11 -- Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar on Wednesday said that the Chief Minister's Rural Drinking Water Scheme (Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana) will be reviewed.

During the question answer to a call-attention motion raised by BJP MLAs Mithilesh Tiwari, Vinay Kumar Chaudhary and others in the state assembly, the Speaker made the announcement.

Raising the issue in the House, Tiwari said that the scheme, meant to ensure safe drinking water in every rural household was in a dilapidated condition in many parts of the state. He said that 67,053 projects had been implemented across 8,053 villages, pumps installed for drinking water supply were not functioning at most locations.
