Lucknow, April 27 -- Political activity has begun in Uttar Pradesh for early next year's assembly elections.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has begun preparing new political ground by bringing together old and experienced faces from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to strengthen its PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) strategy.

Party sources believe that this strategy, led by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, is being formulated with an eye on the 2027 assembly elections.
