Pratapgarh, Feb. 15 -- A Samajwadi Party (SP) leader was killed on Sunday afternoon after a high-mast light pole weighing around one-tonne fell onto his moving car in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred around 1:00 pm in the Babu Ganj market area under Antu police station limits. The accident was captured on CCTV from a nearby bungalow adjacent to a Bharat Petroleum outlet, where the installation work for a high-mast light was underway.
The deceased has been identified as Lal Bahadur Yadav (47), a resident of Babu Ganj market. He was reportedly driving his car toward the city when the accident took place. Workers were in the process of erecting the high-mast pole when it suddenly lost balance and fell on the road....
