Bahriach, Feb. 8 -- Samajwadi Party has expelled Anwarul Hasan, the district president of the Minority Cell, from his post on charges of anti-party activities.
This action was taken on Sunday after a picture of Hasan went viral, in which he was seen welcoming the state president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
Samajwadi Party district president Ram Harsh Yadav said that the party's top leadership was informed about Hasan's activities. Following this, the state president of the Minority Cell, Shakeel Nadvi, issued a letter removing him from the post of district president.
