Lucknow, March 9 -- Two major rival opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh - Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party - are at loggerheads over the celebration of the 92nd birth anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram on March 15 to grab dalit votes.
At the instruction of its National President Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has decided to celebrate Kanshi Ram's birth aniversawy as"Bahujan Samaj Day or PDA Day" in every district headquarters on March 15.
However, BSP chief Mayawati had already given a call for a "Lucknow Chalo Abhiyan (March to Lucknow)' on March 15, instructing her party supporters to reach the Kanshi Ram Smarak.
