Pune, July 7 -- The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Saurashtra and Kutch and active over Odisha, Jharkhand, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh. It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, the IMD bulletin said.
