Pune, July 8 -- The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and active over Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, the IMD bulletin said.
These have occurred at many places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.
