Bhubaneswar, July 15 -- Eveready, a South African company, has expressed interest in setting up wind turbines in various districts of Odisha.

The company made a presentation in this regard during a meeting on renewable energy held here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo.

Singh Deo stated that India has a long history of wind energy generation spanning over four decades.

He said Odisha is actively working toward achieving its renewable energy targets for both wind and solar power by utilizing its natural resources, including a long coastline and barren hilltops.
