Ranchi, May 4 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday reviewed the situation arising out of rising temperatures and heatwave conditions in the state and issued directions to officials to ensure uninterrupted basic services.
Chairing a meeting via video conferencing with senior officials and deputy commissioners, Soren directed district administrations to prioritise drinking water supply, electricity and health services.
Soren said, "Ensuring that people do not face inconvenience during the summer is the primary responsibility of the administration."He asked officials to ensure adequate drinking water supply and monitor water sources, including supply schemes, hand pumps and tanker services, and address complaints promptly.
