Mumbai, Jan. 26 -- BJP leader Kirit Somaiya alleged on Monday that children participating in a Tiranga Yatra in the Ghatkopar area were pushed and beaten.

In a statement, he claimed the incident occurred when local residents attempted to obstruct the Republic Day procession.

According to Somaiya, the incident took place in Nityanand Nagar, where children carrying the national Tricolour and raising slogans were allegedly scolded, blocked and assaulted. He claimed that the situation escalated after residents objected to the procession passing through the locality, leading to a physical confrontation.
