Hyderabad, Jan. 23 -- Former minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday and was questioned for nearly seven hours in connection with the ongoing phone tapping case.

The interrogation took place at the Jubilee Hills Police Station, where the SIT recorded KTR's statement as part of the probe. Sources said the officials also reportedly examined KTR along with former Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) chief Radhakrishan Rao during the course of the inquiry.

After the questioning concluded, KTR left the police station and later reached Telangana Bhavan.
