Chennai, Nov. 9 -- Asserting that the ruling DMK was not averse or opposed to the SpecialIntensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls as the Right to Vote is the undeniable and fundamentalright of a democracy, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin today said thehurried manner in which it was being conducted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) withthe Assembly polls round the corner without giving enough time, endangered the voting rightsof the people of the State.
In a video address, justifying the DMK's opposition to it on the exercise being conducted ina hasty manner, Mr Stalin said the right to vote is the undeniable, fundamental right of ademocracy.
