New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh on Sunday backed the innovation model of the IIT Madras Research Park, saying its partnerships between academia, industry, and investors are helping translate scientific research into deployable real-world solutions faster.

During a visit to Immersive Technology and Entrepreneurship Labs (ITEL) Foundation in Chennai, a nodal centre that nurtures deep-tech startups and fosters industry-academia partnerships, the minister reviewed projects spanning urban mobility, space technology, medical devices, and brain research. This model is now being keenly picked up by other academic institutions and universities as well, he said.
