Jakarta, Jan. 22 -- India's two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu progressed to the quarterfinals of the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026 on Thursday with a straight games victory over Denmark's Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt.
Sindhu defeated Kjaersfeldt with a scoreline of 21-19, 21-18 in 43 minutes.
Sindhu will now face top seed Chinese player Chen Yu Fei on Friday.
Chen Yufei is the gold medalist in the 2020 Summer Olympics, and also the 2025 Asian Championships.
Chen leads the head-to-head tally against Sindhu 7- 6, and the quarters tomorrow promises to be closely fought.
