Davanagere, March 29 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Sunday triggered a political stir by claiming that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah may be forced to resign after elections in five states under pressure from the Congress high command, even as he asserted that upcoming bypolls in the state would signal a broader political shift.
Addressing a press conference in Davanagere, Vijayendra said voters in the Davanagere South Assembly constituency are seeking change and expressed confidence that BJP candidate Srinivas Dasakariyappa would emerge victorious.
