Bengaluru, March 9 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that India's sovereignty and independent foreign policy were being undermined amid reports relating to restrictions on purchases of Russian oil.
In a strongly worded post on X, Siddaramaiah said it was "deeply humiliating" that the United States was openly indicating it would "allow" India to buy oil from Russia only for a limited period, asserting that no foreign government should be in a position to grant or deny India permission to run its economy.
