Hyderabad, April 15 -- Telangana Mahila Corporation Chairperson Bandru Shobharani on Wednesday came down heavily on BRS leader Satyavathi Rathod for her criticism of Tribal Welfare Minister Seethakka, terming it "atrocious" and politically motivated.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Shobharani alleged that the opposition was continuing to "sling mud" at the government irrespective of its initiatives.

She defended the procurement of mobile phones for Anganwadi teachers, stating that the decision was taken by the Central Government.

"The Centre suggested a price of Rs 11,800 per handset, but we procured them at a lower price of Rs 11,650. Is that the 'mistake' committed by Seethakka?" she questioned.
