Shimla, Feb. 11 -- In a major crackdown on narcotics, Shimla District Police have arrested five persons, including two youths from Punjab, in connection with a heroin trafficking case registered in Rohru.
According to police, FIR (No. 5/26) was registered on February 2, 2026, at Rohru Police Station after Jashandeep Singh and Dharampreet Singh, both residents of Punjab, were apprehended near Mehndli Bridge in Rohru with 83 grams of heroin, commonly known as 'chitta'.
Superintendent of Police, Garauv Singh, said that following the initial arrests, the police launched an in-depth investigation to trace the supply network behind the seized contraband.
