Shimla, April 14 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday said that Shimla has been equipped with a modern surveillance system for timely detection, prevention and control of infectious disease outbreaks, with the inauguration of a Metropolitan Surveillance Unit (MSU) at Boileauganj.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the facility, established at a cost of Rs 1.56 crore, and described it as a significant step towards strengthening urban public health infrastructure in the state.
