Mumbai, May 7 -- : Shahid Kapoor is set to collaborate with filmmaker Amit Sharma on a new romantic comedy that is now understood to be an Indian adaptation of the 2017 Italian sci-fi comedy "Husband & Wife".
Originally titled "Moglie e marito", the Italian sci-fi comedy follows a married couple on the brink of divorce who unexpectedly swap bodies following a failed scientific experiment. This forces them to live each other's daily routines, leading to comedic elements and a deeper understanding of one another.
Directed by Simone Godano and starring Pierfrancesco Favino and Kasia Smutniak in lead roles, the original film received a positive response at the box office, earning $2.84 million worldwide, reports Variety India.
