Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 13 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday thanked the people of Kerala for what he termed a landslide victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the local body elections, stating that the results would enable Thiruvananthapuram to get its first-ever BJP mayor.

In a social media post, Shah said the verdict sent a clear political message from Kerala, reflecting the people's faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the mandate underlined growing confidence in the NDA's governance and development model.

Shah congratulated Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar and extended his appreciation to party workers across the state for their grassroots efforts.
