Agartala, Aug. 20 -- A week after the meeting of Tripura BJP's ally TIPRA Motha with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a delegation of tribal leaders, including two ministers of the state, yesterday met Shah in New Delhi and discussed upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections scheduled for early next year.
Shah, accompanied by Union Minister for Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal and BJP's Northeast Coordinator Sambit Patra, met the delegation at Parliament House. BJP's Tripura president and Rajya Sabha member Rajib Bhattacharya, along with Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, also attended the meeting.
