Jaipur, Feb. 16 -- At least seven workers were burned alive and 4 others sustained grave injuries in a massive fire that broke out in a chemical factory in Khushkhera industrial area of Khairthal-Tizara district in Rajasthan today morning.

Unofficial sources put the number of casualties at 8, however, officials could not confirm it. Only three of the deceased who hailed from Motihari district of Bihar were identified. Rest would be identified by DNA mapping.

According to police and fire brigade sources, the blaze broke out with a big bang early this morning which soon engulfed the entire factory premises, creating a panic among people in the nearby areas. Around 25 workers were present there at the time of mishap.
