New Delhi, March 27 -- Delhi Police has busted an illegal gambling racket, which was running near the railway line in the Delhi Cantonment area, by arresting seven individuals involved, an officer said on Friday.
According to the police, they received a tip-off on Wednesday, acting on which, they found that a man, Saleem Khan, was running a gambling syndicate along with his associates in the vicinity.
A team conducted a meticulous surveillance in the area and verified the information before laying a trap near the railway line.
"During the raid, seven individuals were caught red-handed while allegedly engaged in gambling activities using numbered pads," said Amit Goel, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest district).
