Chandigarh, March 13 -- Haryana is grappling with a severe shortage of LPG cylinders, leading to massive queues and public unrest across several districts, including Bhiwani, Gurugram, Rohtak, and Rewari.

On Friday, the situation worsened in Rewari, where local authorities had to deploy police personnel to control a frantic crowd at a gas agency. Women were seen standing in lines for hours, with many expressing frustration that, despite successful bookings, home deliveries have come to a complete standstill.

The crisis has severely disrupted daily life and commercial operations. In Gurugram's Sector-38, a viral video from a girls' hostel showed students forced to cook dinner on traditional wood-fired stoves as the mess ran out of gas.
