Islamabad/New York, Feb. 21 -- Senior Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani on Friday said that the agreement inked with the US over the Roosevelt Hotel must be placed before the Parliament, arguing that lawmakers had not been informed properly.
Releasing a statement, Rabbani said, "The strategic economic initiative, including collaboration with the US General Services Administration, regarding the operation, maintenance, renovation and redevelopment of the Roosevelt Hotel has been signed without taking the people into confidence."Calling the Roosevelt Hotel a "prime property" in New York, Rabbani stressed that all dealings concerning it must be transparent.
