Kozhikode, Jan. 17 -- With the assembly elections approaching, there has been an explosion in the Wayanad CPM, with senior CPM leader AV Jayan leaving the party.
Jayan has alleged that a group in the party has been harassing him since the district conference.
Speaking to the media in Kalpetta, Jayan said a group led by CK Saseendran-Rafeeq had created a situation where he cannot continue in the party. He is the former district president of the farmers' wing of the CPM.
