New Delhi, Jan. 28 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the annual NCC PM rally, praising cadets for their discipline and service while urging the youth to seize global opportunities and contribute to nation-building through innovation, civic duty and fitness.
Beginning on a sombre note, Modi expressed grief over a tragic plane crash in Maharashtra earlier in the day that claimed the lives of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and four others. Calling Pawar a leader who worked tirelessly for rural and national development, the Prime Minister said, "In this moment of pain, we are all with their families," and offered condolences to those affected.
