Hyderabad, April 14 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka on Tuesday appealed to people across the state to avoid venturing outdoors during peak heat hours amid rising temperatures, and directed officials to set up free drinking water centres (Chalivendralu) in villages and towns.

In a public message, the Minister said temperatures have increased sharply in recent days and advised citizens to remain indoors between 1100 hours and 1500 hours.

She suggested completing daily activities during early morning hours and taking precautions such as covering the head with a cap or cloth if stepping out is unavoidable.
