Srinagar, Feb. 20 -- Days ahead of the visit of Vice President C P Radhakrishnan to Kashmir, a high-level security review meeting was held in Srinagar.
Police said Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) V K Birdi chaired the meeting to review preparedness for the forthcoming VVIP visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He directed officers to strengthen security arrangements across both urban and rural areas of the Valley, intensify round-the-clock patrolling, and enhance surveillance at key entry and exit points.
The meeting was attended by senior officers from various security and intelligence agencies.
During the meeting, detailed security plans were presented and reviewed to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the VVIP visit, police said.
