Imphal, Jan. 24 -- Security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition and equipment from the foothills of the Chanung Hill Range under Sagolmang Police Station in Imphal East district on Friday.
The recovered items include one .303 rifle with magazine, one SLR without magazine, eight single-barrel breech-loading rifles, one revolver pistol, one .22 pistol with magazine, 24 rounds of live ammunition of different calibres, one MK-13T cartridge, five tube launching devices, six Lathode shells, five Baofeng walkie-talkie sets with batteries and three chargers, four camouflage helmets, nine pairs of camouflage pants, five camouflage shirts, three camouflage sweatshirts, one green belt and four camouflage hats, police today said.
