Imphal, Jan. 10 -- Security forces and Manipur Police continued intensive intelligence-based combing, cordon and search operations across the state on Friday, leading to action against drug cultivation, militant activities, and other criminal networks, police said on Saturday.
A combined team of security forces, the Forest Department, and an Executive Magistrate destroyed approximately 40 acres of poppy cultivation at Ngatan Hill Range under the Senapati Police Station, Senapati district.
During the operation, 11 makeshift huts, along with fertilizers, salt, irrigation pipes, spray pumps, and other materials used for illicit cultivation, were also destroyed.
