Shillong, May 27 -- The whereabouts of a tourist couple from Madhya Pradesh who went missing during a visit to Sohra, also known as Cherrapunjee, a popular tourist destination in Meghalaya, remains unknown.
Meghalaya police along with State Disaster Response Force and villagers, has launched a massive search and rescue operation to trace missing couple identified as 27-year-old Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam from Indore, who have gone missing since May 24.
The couple hired a two-wheeler from one Sagar Sen Samal of Keating Road here on May 22 and then rode to Sohra. They were supposed to return the two-wheeler after four days.
