Hyderabad, April 5 -- South Central Railway (SCR) has successfully completed Kavach field trials covering 487 route kilometres during the financial year 2025-26, surpassing the Railway Board's target of 402 route kilometres.

As part of its focused push towards enhancing safety measures, SCR undertook the installation of Kavach 4.0 across its network. The achievement was attributed to meticulous planning and effective implementation by the zone.

In another significant milestone, SCR commissioned Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) across 479 route kilometres during the same period, exceeding the target of 357 route kilometres.
