Hyderabad, Oct. 3 -- South Central Railway (SCR) has recorded its highest-ever revenue during the first six months of the current financial year, registering a gross originating revenue of Rs 10,143 Crores from April to September 2025.

This surpasses the previous best of Rs 9,966 Crores achieved in 2024-25, marking a 1.7 per cent increase, an SCR statement said on Friday.

The Zone achieved freight revenue of Rs 6,635 Crores with a record freight loading of 71.14 million tonnes, up 6 per cent from 67 million tonnes last year. The increase in freight is attributed to higher transportation of commodities like iron ore, raw materials for steel plants, and cement.
