New Delhi, March 17 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition seeking to declare Guru Gobind Jayanti as a national holiday.
A bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta dismissed the petition, saying that India was a 'holy land of holidays', and 'Let us not add to that'.
A writ petition was filed in 2020 by the All India Shiromani Singh Sabha.
