Ranchi, Feb. 25 -- The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Wednesday said a recent order of the Supreme Court of India invoking Article 142 has set an important precedent for safeguarding democratic processes.

The party warned against any attempt to delete names from the voter list in Jharkhand on the basis of identity.

Addressing a press conference at the party's central office in Harmu, JMM central general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said the court's intervention highlighted the need to protect the credibility of constitutional institutions.
