New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday announced a set of administrative reforms, with a strong focus on using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency and reduce long-pending cases.
Chief Justice of India Surya Kant described the move as "good news" and said it marks an important step towards modernising court administration.
Making the announcement in the open court, the CJI said the judiciary is increasingly using technology, including AI, to simplify procedures and speed up work.
"We are trying to harness AI to increase operational efficiency and reduce case pendency," CJI Kant said.
