New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- State Bank of India (SBI) has strengthened its trade finance and international banking operations with the launch of a Global Trade Finance Centre (GTFC) in Kolkata, an official statement said here on Friday.
The new facility supports SBI branches in the region by enabling faster turnaround times, enhanced compliance oversight and a smoother customer experience for businesses involved in domestic and cross-border trade.
By integrating advanced technology with specialised expertise, the bank is seeking to raise efficiency and service standards in trade finance operations.
The GTFC operates with a workforce of 277 professionals, including 161 SBI employees, 105 outsourced staff and 11 temporary personnel.
