Mulugu, Feb. 17 -- Telangana Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Tuesday said the progress of Telangana depends on the development of its villages and asserted that the role of Sarpanches is crucial in strengthening rural governance.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating a five-day training programme for newly elected Sarpanches from Mulugu, Venkatapur, Mallampally and Govindaraopet mandals at the R&B Guest House here. She also inspected vermicompost production units and wet and dry waste management stalls set up at the venue.
