Patna, Dec. 18 -- Newly appointed Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi took charge on Thursday and pledged to work for further strengthening the party in the state.

Saraogi was appointed Bihar BJP president on Monday. He took over at a function organised at the state BJP headquarters in Patna.

Top BJP leaders of the state, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, besides a large number of party workers were present on the occasion.

Before taking charge, Saraogi paid tributes to Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar at his statue near the Patna High Court. From there he reached state party headquarters in a procession, which the party described as a roadshow. A larger number of party workers participated, while women workers...
