Raut spoke openly about his health, recovery, and political views during a media interaction.
Raut said he initially dismissed the early symptoms, attributing his discomfort to exhaustion caused by an intense work schedule, frequent travel, and lack of rest. It was his brother, MLA Sunil Raut, who insisted that he undergo blood tests, which ultimately led to the diagnosis.
