Bhubaneswar, Feb. 26 -- Internationally acclaimed sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik will represent India at the 18th edition of Contemporary Venice to be held in Italy in 2026.
A native of Puri in Odisha, Pattnaik is set to present a new artistic expression on the global stage. For the first time, his unique "Jugalbandi" paintings, an innovative fusion of colour and natural sand on canvas, will be showcased at an international exhibition of this scale.
Five of his artworks have been officially selected for display at the prestigious show, which will take place at the historic Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice.
