Patna, Nov. 19 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was on Wednesday unanimously elected leader of the BJP legislature party in the state Assembly, while Vijay Kumar Sinha was chosen as its deputy leader in the Legislative Council.

The election took place at a meeting of newly elected BJP MLAs held at the party's state headquarters. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, appointed as the central observer to oversee the process, announced that both leaders were elected unanimously, and resolutions to this effect were passed at the meeting.
