Sambhal, April 5 -- In a significant development in Mubarakpur Band village of Sambhal district, the mosque committee initiated demolition of allegedly illegal structures after an ultimatum was issued by the local administration.
The action followed a directive to clear encroachments from approximately four bighas of government land by Sunday. When the deadline approached, the mosque committee began dismantling parts of the site themselves. Over nearly seven hours on Sunday, workers demolished a madrasa, several shops, and the main gate of the mosque. The demolition of the mosque's minaret is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am on Monday.
