Los Angeles, Jan. 25 -- Sam Raimi has made it clear that 'Spider-Man 4' under his direction is unlikely to ever happen, saying it wouldn't "be right" for him to resurrect his version of the franchise after passing it on to new filmmakers, Variety reports.

Raimi, who directed Sony's 'Spider-Man' trilogy from 2002 to 2007, told ScreenRant that the stories of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, played by Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, have effectively "gone elsewhere," with little chance of returning to the big screen.
