Srinagar, Jan. 21 -- Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference President and legislator, Sajad Lone, on Wednesday called for a profound and uncompromising reassessment of the Kashmir-Jammu relationship and openly advocated the possibility of their separation.
Lone has become the first prominent politician from Kashmir to propose a split amid calls in Jammu for a separate state.
The call for the split comes a day after veteran politician and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah opposed any further division of the state and insisted on Ladakh's reunification with J&K.
Lone said politically he is in complete opposition to Farooq Abdullah.
