Saifai/Lucknow, March 20 -- A shocking incident has come to light at the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences in Saifai, where a 40-year-old mentally ill female patient was allegedly raped inside the medical college premises, police said on Friday.
The woman had been admitted to the hospital for nearly nine months and reportedly has no family support.
The case surfaced during a routine medical examination when doctors discovered that she was approximately five months pregnant, triggering panic within the hospital administration.
