Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 11 -- Sabarimala Tantri (Chief priest) Kandararu Rajeevaru, who is in judicial custody in connection with the Sabarimala gold plating irregularities case, was discharged from hospital and taken back to jail after doctors confirmed an improvement in his health condition.

Rajeevaru, who had been lodged at the Thiruvananthapuram Special Sub Jail, was hospitalised after he experienced health complications while in custody. Following complaints of physical discomfort, he was initially shifted to the Government General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram for medical examination.
