Kigati, July 10 -- The Rwandan government announced today that the country has delivered two shipments of humanitarian aid destined for Palestinians in Gaza.
A statement by the Office of the Government Spokesperson said the humanitarian aid was received in Amman by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.
"Similar to previous shipments, this week's deliveries of 40 tons of food supplies and medical supplies are a contribution to the ongoing international relief efforts," the statement said.
Israel launched its offensive on Oct. 7, 2023, following a Hamas-led attack that killed about 1,200 Israelis and saw 250 taken hostage. According to authorities in Gaza, at least 57,680 people have been killed since the start of the war.
